It all started in 2016 with a small apartment and a big renovation. I wanted to create a nook through which I can share a true local living experience: to present the life of this ever-changing city, to offer a kitchen that invites you to cook something exciting, to have a little balcony to absorb the city views and catch the vibe of the locals...
My love for old furniture goes way back. Saturday mornings always found me at the flea market, where I was hunting for old treasures and felt responsible to give them a new life to honour their story and craftsmanship. This appreciation makes me think long term: I love the idea that maybe my grandchildren would use these apartments, or these objects will find their place in their homes.
My first small rented out apartment is still one of the most popular of my apartments. The positive feedback from my guests encouraged me to keep looking for old places that have a story worth telling and making them into places where people live their own stories…
As I renovated and furnished the first apartment by myself, I quickly realised, I am no interior designer but a businessman with a love for art and history. So for my next projects I partnered with two friends, the painter Diana Popovici and the architect Beatrice Marta.
